点评：The Old Irish Goat Centre is a gem to visit. There is a short film to watch in comfortable surroundings which explains the origin and history of the goats, how the Old Irish Goat Society came to be and the role the goats play in the modern world.
It was very interesting, easy to understand, wasn't too long and provided lots of fantastic footage of the goats in their environment accompanied by some lovely music.
There are also information boards and pictures to peruse which tell you more about the Old Irish Goats.
The gift shop has some tempting goodies at reasonable prices.
I was greeted by a really fantastic volunteer whose warmth and joy of the goats was infectious. She was very knowledgeable and happy to answer my questions.
I was fortunate enough to meet two goats in the enclosure in between the showers. They really are the most magnificent of creatures to look at and you can't help but appreciate their intelligence and tenacity at surviving the sometimes very harsh West Mayo environment.
