Too large, too crowded, food extremely overprices
2010俄亥俄世博中心与国家博览会的点评
点评：I was looking forward to visiting the Ohio State Fair as it coincided with the route we were taking on our back roads road trip. We were very disappointed. First, getting to it is a nightmare. We thought going on a weekday it wouldn't be as bad, but we were wrong. Not only was traffic and parking crazy, but the crowds at the fair were just too much. The place is huge, and you can definitely spend the entire day, from open to close. We are older, so we skipped any fair rides. We opted for a free concert - Sixteen Candles - which was awesome and the highlight of our visit. We spent time in the expo center at the gazillion booths selling stuff. You could easily spend hours just in there. We wanted some fair food, but quickly changed our minds after noticing the prices, like $16 for just one small burger?! Come on. We didn't expect cheap, but this was ridiculous, so we left hungry and opted to leave early and eat elsewhere. We did spend some time with the animals. The directions to even find them, being our first time at this fair, were very much lacking. It was difficult, and we had to get help, which we could only find from another fairgoer; no staff around to help. The animals are nice, but there are so many and it's so huge that it is overwhelming. We found this fair difficult to enjoy.
