点评:Great trip. We arrived at approximately 4:30 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the trail. There were several informational plaques located at the entrance and alongside the trail, detailing the history of the area and the various forms of wildlife found in the area. The trail was moderate in difficulty and did contain quite a bit of uphill segments to it. There were a couple parts of the trail that were not paved very well, and included walking on gravel, so good shoes are a must. We were able to see some deer on the trail as well as a couple of snakes. The views at the top of the mountain contained sweeping views of the land below. Bear Butte mountain holds a lot of significance to the native american community, and there were multiple prayer clothes tied to bushes and trees. The trail was mostly uncovered and did not contain many shaded sections, so I definitely recommend protecting yourself against the sun.
Tip: I recommend spending 2.5 hours here if you truly want to see everything.
