Sedgwick County Zoo的点评
点评：I have been a member at SCZ for more years than I can remember, and have been visiting here for over 45 years. I moved out of state for a few years, so there was a 6-7 year gap in my visits, but even then I visited once or twice while visiting family back 'home'.
It is never NOT a total joy to visit this zoo. My family always visits zoos when we travel, so I've been to over 30 zoos over the years, and SCZ is at the top of my list...but I admit growing older with the zoo has been part of the allure.
SCZ is always growing, always modifying, and never stagnate. Updated exhibits, new animals as other animals retire or pass away.
It is never too crowded, though it pushes the limits on specials days like Mothers' or Fathers' Day. But the paths are wide, easy to navigate, and as you'd expect in Kansas, fairly flat. They've added a train recently, expanded the elephant exhibit and as of today have four elephant babies. There are babies in several exhibits...I know the apes or chimps just had one I haven't seen yet.
Every single time, the staff is friendly, helpful, and never seem put off by questions or requests for assistance (I spent several years needing a scooter).
The ONLY drawback I can think of is, that while they have very good seating - benches throughout - there is little shade for those benches. Some shading in the summer would be welcome.
They have special light exhibits in the winter, which are always spectacular and worth the visit.
Admission is normal for a zoo, but family memberships are quite affordable - two visits would more than pay for a family year membership.
If you like zoos, and visit as you travel, this zoo worthy of your support and visit. If you're local, why aren't you a member?? This zoo is a national attraction and here in Wichita's backyard.

每次去，工作人员都非常友好热情，乐于助人，从不嫌弃我的问题或求助（我之前好几年都需要用电动代步车）。
我唯一觉得不足的地方是，虽然展区里有很多长椅，座位很舒适，但遮阳的地方却很少。夏天要是能多一些遮阳设施就更好了。
冬天他们会举办特别的灯光秀，非常精彩，值得一看。
门票价格和其他动物园差不多，但家庭会员卡很划算——两次参观的费用就足以抵消一年的家庭会员卡费用了。
如果你喜欢动物园，并且经常在旅行途中参观，那么这家动物园绝对值得你支持和光顾。如果你是本地居民，为什么不办会员卡呢？这家动物园可是国家级景点，而且就在威奇托的家门口。
