Perfect chance to practice your Welsh
Garth Newydd的点评
点评：I have stayed in Garth Newydd several times now. I cannot express how grateful I am to be able to stay somewhere which is so friendly and welcoming to practise using my Welsh especially as I don't live in Wales. The owner, Marcus, organises themed weekends from walking to crafts. This weekend he arranged Jack Pulman, a welsh tutor to go over pronunciation.. something I have always struggled with. Jack gave us lots of useful tips to improve our Welsh to enable us to speak more authentically. It's always so lovely meeting other Welsh learners. The atmosphere is very relaxed and I have always left with a smile on my face. Marcus always tries to arrange interaction with the locals too which is a bonus.
There are seven bedrooms. One has an en-suite, there is a toilet and separate shower downstairs and two toilets (one including a shower) upstairs. Like many people I would prefer an en-suite but I can honestly say that I have never had any problems with the shared facilities in Garth Newydd, they are always kept clean and Garth Newydd tends to attract only friendly, courteous people. In fact, the whole house is kept clean and tidy and has a homely feel.
I cannot recommend Garth Newydd enough to people who wish to practise their welsh. The first time I stayed I felt very nervous, like many other people, not knowing what to expect. I can assure you that what you will receive is a very warm welcome and lots of support so if you are feeling a bit nervous and shy and are not totally sure about going, my advice to you would be to go for it because I think that you will be very pleasantly surprised and are more than likely to keep coming back like me!!
