点评:Coming to Ulpotha was a journey 23 years in the making. I first discovered it online at a crossroads in my life. Back then, it called to me so earnestly, but I didn’t answer.
I would think of it from time to time, and last December, I finally made it. In a sentence, it was as imperfectly perfect as I had imagined.
I was immediately struck by its quiet reverence, almost like temple meets jungle. The winding paths invite you to kick off your shoes and feel the earth beneath your bare feet, just as nature intended, gently guiding you back into her healing fold.
The grounding offered by the land, the simplicity of the huts and the food, the generosity of our hosts, teachers and therapists, and meeting perfect strangers whose stories connect us in profoundly humbling and human ways are what I carry with me from this magical place.
It is something that can only truly be experienced, not explained.
Highly recommended. Be warned though, it may just change your life.
