Great little railway museum run by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers.
The Malta Railway Foundation and Tram Museum的点评
点评:Absolutely loved my visit here. The place is run by 3 volunteers who burst with enthusiasm and knowledge of the old railway in Malta.
Its free to enter but they ask for €5 donation each which is great value for money.
One of the volunteers will take you through the museum which is an old railway station and personally explain everything to you and answer any questions.
They have the only remaining restored carriage from the old railway outside that you get to sit in.
We bought a flash drive showing the old railway route for €10 basically because we wanted to give more donation to the museum and were given a load of free postcards and poster memorabilia to take away.
If you have a fascination with old railways then this is a great little place to visit and your enthusiasm will definitely be mirrored by the people here.
Check out the opening times before visiting as its not open every day.
Not very well signposted from the road and you think you are walking into a dead end street trying to find it so they could maybe invest in some signage.
You sign the visitor book before leaving because they are reliant on visitor numbers to keep the bit of funding they get along with the entry donations to keep the museum going.
Highly recommended
