Cafe still chaotic and staff need more training

点评：Was keen to revisit as have been regular visitors in the past and were sad to see the cafe standards deteriorating. Had high hopes with the revamped seating and two serving tills but.... oh dear, there was no wait on food when I ordered. Just as I was leaving the till area, they put a notice out to say a 30 min wait on food despite the cafe being only 1/3rd full. We only started to mind when, after 45 minutes we noticed other tables who ordered well after us were getting their food. When I enquired, I was advised that our order would take more time if it was complex dishes! We had two jacket potatoes and a bowl of chips! When I explained that others with the same food had got their order, I was told very sharply "well, we're busy and it's a 45 minute wait now". No comprehension that we'd already waited beyond that time at this stage. Absolutely no apology for the wait, just a shrug of the shoulders by the lady who was a previous staff member and has always been a bit short with customers.
I think we'll wait a while before we return and hope that, with the new kitchens and some staff training, service will be much improved and more alike their Launceston store.
