点评:I was the only visitor and got a guided tour by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic employee of the museum. I watched a video as an introduction to the ancient carnival rituals. The light was dimmed and I saw the "Kurents", dressed in sheep skins with cow bells attached, jumping through the streets.
They are mythical figures who can chase away the winter. The lady then explained to me the costumes in detail. They can weigh 40 kg without the heavy bells. The highlight is the annual parade with participants from the surrounding villages, each with their own tradition. This event has now become one of the world's most interesting carnivals. Although it's a small museum it's well worth the 7.00 Euro entrance fee.
The only negative comment is that they should advertise it better and mark the entrance clearer.
