点评：Lamin was recommended to us by Sarah at Hibiscus House, Brufut. Our stay was 14 days but we didn't want to go out every day (we are all over 65 with the oldest in our group 80). Lamin was excellent at putting together an itinerary that suited our requirements. We started off with a full day at Kotu Creek; followed by a half day focused on Butterflies; then a full day at Brufut & Tanji; half day at Turenji and a then a full day at Kartong. We then had a rest day at the hotel followed by alternate days out and hotel days. Our four other trips were to Tendaba & Kampati, Pirang, Bonto & Farasuto, Abuko & Lamin Rice Fields and Marikissa & Dasilami Wetlands. The days were hot and humid but Lamin kept us supplied with water and took us to some interesting places for lunches. He went out of his way to find us interesting birds - sometimes in out of the way places that we wondered where on earth we were going!! But the hot and dusty treks were all worth it. We saw an amazing 210 birds including 14 species of Egrets & Herons, 9 Kingfishers from Pygmy to Giant, 14 Raptors including the Long-crested Eagle and Ovambo Sparrowhawk, 10 species of Pigeons and Doves including Bruce's Green Pigeon and Namaqua Dove, plus Greyish Eagle Owl, Long-tailed Nightjar, Northern Black Flycatcher, Black-crowned Tchagra, Blue Bristlebill, Western Bluebill, Orange-cheeked Waxbill, Northern Puffback and my personal favourite the White-crested Helmetshrike.
We are still going through the nearly 4,000 photos we took but attached are a few of some of my favourites so far.
Lamin can arrange your full birding trips with many listed on his website but if you want a mix and match trip like ours I can recommend Hibiscus House as they looked after us amazingly and the grounds are full of birdlife as well. We saw over 30 species of birds - all of which we also saw while out with Lamin, they were just easier to photograph at the hotel!!
