Poor service, unexpected cash charges, and lack of transparency

点评：I booked a quad with Xagoraris Santorini months in advance for my vacation, but unfortunately, the experience was both disappointing and unprofessional.
Upon arrival, the vehicle was not delivered to the airport as agreed. When I called the company, I was simply told that the office was closed. I was instructed at the last minute to take a taxi to my accommodation at my own expense, with the promise that I would be reimbursed. That reimbursement was later handled in a vague and shady manner.
The next day, when the quad was finally delivered to our accommodation, I was asked to pay €35 per day in cash for a supposed third-party insurance — something that was never mentioned during the booking process, as clearly shown in the FAQs on their own website. To make things worse, the amount I had paid for the taxi was simply deducted from this insurance fee without proper explanation.
I want to emphasize that this insurance was not optional. We were told, "If you don’t want to pay, leave the keys here." At that point, we felt trapped.
The receipt I received was vague, with no mention of the insurance company, no policy number, and no details about the coverage. When I asked for clarification, I was told, "We take care of it," but no documentation was provided.
Their website states that all vehicles are insured, yet at no point during the booking process was I informed that additional charges would apply — and that they would only be accepted in cash.
This experience left me feeling pressured and misled. Having already paid over €280 upfront, I had no real choice but to comply.
I find this behavior unacceptable and deceptive, and I believe other travelers deserve to be warned.
