点评:Great trip. We arrived at approximately 12:45 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the observatory. There were several informational plaques outside of the observatory that detailed the history. During the summer the observatory held guided tours on select days and hours. We opted to do the guided tour at 1 pm. After buying our admission ticket, we spent a couple minutes browsing their small museum. There were several bookcases out for display, with various artifacts and informational plaques, detailing what we were seeing in front of us. The museum went over the origin of the observatory and its founders. After viewing the museum, we waited for the guided tour to begin. The tour guide took us to the second floor of the building, where we were able to view one of the oldest functioning telescopes in the nation. The tour guide went over some fun facts about the telescope and its function in society. After viewing the telescope in the main building, we made our way to the building next door, where we were able to view a different telescope. During this demonstration, the tour guide actually opened up the shutters at the top of the building and positioned the telescope towards the sun. We then took turns viewing the sun through the lens of the telescope, which was super neat. The guided portion of the tour took roughly 30 minutes.
Tip: I recommend spending 1 hour here if you truly want to see everything.

提示:如果您真的想看遍所有景点,我建议您在这里花 1 个小时。
