Great resort with potential to be amazing!

点评：This is an amazing resort that has potential to be even better! Stayed in a lovely pod as a couple in their 40s. These are soundproofed so you can hear the planes and they are super comfortable. Coffee and milk provided. Bottled water would be a nice touch but you can grab tap water from the canteen. We enjoyed our pizzas and salads (the five March beef rendang with watermelon is great, pizzas were a bit dry but overall meal was nice). Cocktails were outstanding. I hate the QR code ordering, if it wasn’t for this I would give a 5* review but it ruins a meal for me . Slept great and no bar noise.
Lovely walk around the meadows the next morning (beautiful wildflowers) and quarry watching the surfing. Breakfast - a couple of pretty rude male staff (all the female staff were lovely). Some of the young staff need customer service training (again if no QR codes and incentive of tips this might work better). I brought my muffin up to the kitchen as they forgot my sausage, chef rolled his eyes and said but you ordered a veggie muffin (to which I said sorry there was a drop down option and all I did was tick the box.. so clearly the system doesn’t work well, they also forgot husbands salmon on his eggs). Family came along with our two young kids later- they loved rollerskating and scooting around the resort (highly recommend your wee ones bringing wheels of any description!). Family lunch was grand as lots of fried and unhealthy options to keep kids happy. Again with a large party QR ordering is really anti social. This should be optional I think. We’ve booked family surf lessons later this month and can’t wait to come back. Changing rooms are really lovely. With staff training and the addition of hot tub(s) this place could be amazing! Would happily pay for a hot tub session in the same way the sauna works. A playpark or more stuff for young kids would be ideal as they aren’t allowed to paddle for safety reasons. Well done lost shore - an exciting addition to the area!
