I would advise looking at all the other reviews categorised under “Terrible” listed on Trip Advisor and here before making a purchase from this company. There is some really jarring information regarding their customer service.
I was given a gift voucher for Christmas, 11-months ago. The voucher did not have an expiration date on it.
I had tried to redeem the voucher on their website (£125) repeatedly for several months and every time I was met with a message telling me there was a temporary problem and to try again later. Whenever I called Lost Shore for help there was no answer (this is something many other people have complained about in reviews). Eventually I emailed them to inform them of this problem and they told me that the voucher expired two weeks ago.
They admitted there was a problem with their voucher system and told me my voucher should have had an expiration date on it. No apology and no reason why they cannot accept the voucher or why the voucher is missing a date.
The vouchers are for monetary amounts, where they have simply have taken cash for the voucher and put it into their bank account, there is no reason for the cash they are holding to "expire or disappear in the last 2-weeks".
As someone who has dealt with vouchers at a company I've worked for, there is some extra admin changing any tax codes if necessary but the money has not vanished or diminished.
The fact that their website was malfunctioning and the expiration date is missing, shows it is quite blatantly not my fault.
I asked for the customer service agent to speak to the management at Lost Shore to see if they can sort this out and they have not responded.
