10 Star experience. A must see!
Glenshane Country Farm的点评
点评：Amazing experience. Family run business with a huge warm welcome. We got tea, scones and jam. Yummy!
Got to hear the farm evolved which was really interesting and how the sheep dogs are trained. We got to see the dogs in action and it was unbelievable how they work and respond to the farmer .
We then went to see the different varieties of sheep. That was an education as I thought there was only one type 🙈. Then we got to hold lambs and puppies. Adorable- love this.
We also had a sheep shearing demonstration which was intriguing.
Lambing and shearing are usually seasonal but Glenshane, with great planning manage to make this happen all year round. Smart idea, so you won’t miss out.
Then onto the centre where there is information given on the types of wool and had lovely homemade soup, wheaten bread, sandwiches with the gorgeous bread! Tea, tray bakes and shortbread .
Lastly, there is lovely souvenir shop with lots of beautiful hand made goodies and got my own little sheep.
I would recommend you get a group of 12 or more and go, although the farm can accommodate more than 100. It is busy so book in advance as there an are lot of American visitors who love this place so book early.
The family are so passionate about what they do, and have great ideas that are innovative for both farming and tourism. Their aim is to ensure that customers leave with a good feeling.
Our group walked away feeling more than good. We had a ten star memorable experience.
