Fun outing that offers something different!
National Wine Salon (Národní salon vín)的点评
点评：This was a fun family outing that was something different to do. Over 100 wines are displayed in a large cellar and you travel from table to table to taste the wines you are interested in. We did the 2 hour all you can drink tour which is self-serve so you can pour yourself more of the wines you like. Each table is arranged with 5-10 wines and we managed to try 2 or 3 from each table within our time there (very small tastes). Mostly whites, only a few reds were available, but they did have some local varieties to try that you can't get elsewhere. Lots of information available about each wine on the walls.
The biggest downside is that it is located in the middle of nowhere, and a pain to get to from Brno on public transportation (train to a bus, about 1.5 hours one way with transfer). If you have a car, or if you hire a ride like we did, it's about an hour of easy driving with plenty of parking. There are a couple of nice restaurants on site but the service was very slow and we did not want to wait, so we opted for a smaller restaurant down the street where we managed to get a quicker meal. We also had some gelato at a place across the street.
We enjoy wine and this was a nice outing. The cellar atmosphere made it different and fun, although it did get chilly down there. Would definitely recommend.
