Old Town的点评
点评：When visiting the Old Town I found many of the streets that Google said to visit were actually a waste of time. Therefore I suggest you take a good look around yourself and find your own special places. My starting point was Rue Saint Michel which full of shops and restaurants and not the type of places that I was interested in. Similarly, Place aux Herbes, Place du Cap and Montee du Souvenir in my opinion have nothing to offer with regard to seeing the old Menton. Jardin du Campanin is a quaint little garden but can also be bypassed. I suggest starting at Quai Bonaparte and taking in the views of the city from the roadside before walking up the Ramps of the Basilica Saint Michel to the church. Then a few minutes away is Rue des Logettes and walking uphill into Rue Longue which is definitely worth seeing and gives you more of a perspective of what the Old Town was like with its narrow alleyways and numerous tall coloured houses that reminded me of Naples. You can then start to venture around exploring at your leisure.
