A great alternative volunteering opportunity

点评：I spent six incredible months volunteering with Marine Conservation Philippines, and I can't recommend it enough. The staff are not only incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their work, but also genuinely friendly and welcoming. They're experts in both diving and marine conservation, and their dedication to supporting local communities through sustainable fishing is evident. The facilities are fantastic – comfortable simple living spaces, well-equipped classrooms, and a kitchen that serves delicious, healthy meals cooked by local staff. The two daily dives are a highlight, offering the chance to explore some of the best dive sites in the southern Negros Island region, and contribute to vital research. I completed their reef substrate training, but they also offer courses on fish and invertebrates, as well as scuba training from beginner (Open Water) to advanced (Divemaster and Tec) levels. The jungle setting is peaceful and beautiful, and the diving is truly world-class. If you're looking for a volunteer experience that combines meaningful conservation work, exceptional diving, and a supportive community, MCP is the perfect place.
