Trans Niugini Tours的点评
点评：Our trip in July 2025 with Trans Niugini Tours war very disappointing. We had booked a four-day river cruise to visit remote indigenous tribes. However, the company hadn't informed the manager on site or boat crew about the upcoming tour. Upon our arrival, everyone was surprised and unaware of our group and we were told that now the boat tour couldn't take place due to low water levels. Had they been informed in a timely manner, they would have moved the boat to the main river with higher water levels and transported us there by motorboat. Now everything had to be improvised, and we only saw a fraction of what was planned. The company acknowledged their shortcoming and mistakes and we did receive a small partial refund, but only for the part of the boat tour not taking into account our disappointment that the most interesting part of our tour and our reason for booking with this company did not happen. And you can’t just rebook the 3 nights boat tour as from Port Moresby it takes four days and three flights just to get to the boat and back, which is expensive and time-consuming.
Additionally the Karawari Lodge we had to stay instead, has several maintenance issues: no water in shower, missing floorboards, run down car... The last two fotos show the condition of the road to and from the lodge to the airport and down to the motorboat and the missing headlights of the car. We used this road at least 4 times a day.
