Point Pelee National Park的点评
点评：If you're planning a stay in one of the O Tentiks at Point Pelee there are a couple of things which might be useful for you to know. And for the record, we think the park is beautiful; small, but beautiful. The O Tentiks are permanent A framed structures which is about the only way you can camp here unless you are in the group area.
First, this is a national park, so as well as the O Tentik fee you will pay a daily park fee. You can use your national park pass to avoid this.
Second, the park rules don't want you to cook, prepare or eat food in the O Tentik. I understand this in terms of keeping wild critters out, but this can be a challenge. Especially if it is raining. They provide a steel box on each site to store food, and a BBQue on each site to help prepare food, but there is no outdoor shelter. You can bring a dining shelter, so keep this is mind. No one likes to cook or eat in the rain.
Third, each O Tentik either has a gas heater, or a wood burning heater. A nice touch for those chilly evenings. The problem is regulating the temperature. These units can heat up quickly, and you may find it difficult to keep children's fingers off of the heaters.
So all in all we really like the O Tentiks, keeping the above in mind. And I must say, each time we go to Point Pelee the staff without exception are excellent.
