Pretty swirling water

点评：We visited twice: Once in the early afternoon and once about an hour before sunset. The water below was definitely prettier/ more colorful when we were there around 2 PM. The swirling waters of the Niagara River there are definitely fascinating! The building there for visitors was unmanned on Thursday, October 2; I don’t know if anybody is ever there. There is a multiple stall shared bathroom. We walked about 2 1/2 miles toward the Aquarium from the visitor building there at the park. For some of the walk, you’re along the top of the gorge and can see the river; most of the walk was more on an asphalt walkway away from the gorge. It is an easy walk for someone with walking shoes or sneakers. Before sunset, we came back and walked about a mile in the other direction, toward the dam. There is far less swirling water in that direction. If you only have a half hour, it is worth it to drive away from the main Niagara Falls and go up and see the beautiful swirling whirlpool rapids at this spot.
