We finally checked out Ward ONE Smoke House in Guelph, and it was a really nice experience. We sat outside on their little garden patio, whch was cozy and pleasant, though there’s onjly minimal a hot day.
We ordered the brisket mac & cheese and the brisket sandwich. The brisket had great flavour — a touch toothsome, but still enjoyable — and the mac & cheese was creamy, smooth, and comforting. Portions were solid and everything came out hot.
Prices are very reasonable, and while there’s a large parking lot, it can fill up quickly on busy days. Service was good overall, and the hostess was especially friendly and accommodating, which set a great tone for the visit.
A nice local spot with good food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Glad we finally stopped in.
