Off the beaten track, but worth the visit
Hainle Vineyards and Deep Creek Wine Estate的点评
点评：A little off the beaten track, but well worth the trip. We had driven by the sign for the winery on the highway many times, but this time we didn’t simply drive by. We took the short trip up the road to visit Hainle Vineyards and Estate Winery. We were glad we did.
We were met by a gentleman named Abby. This guy was personable and friendly right from the very start. We sat down and started to enjoy our tasting.
We became interested in wine touring about six years ago and I’ve been doing a bit of wine education. I am very much a novice, but eager to learn. It wasn’t a busy day, and Abby was very generous with his time. Frankly, I think we were there for over an hour and discussed many aspects of the Okanagan wine industry, the growing of grapes in the region, and the wide variety of different knowledge criteria that is required to pass the WSET 3 course.
This guy knows his stuff, and we ended up having a very enjoyable, and informative wine tasting experience here.
We started off with a Frizzante, forced bubble style wine. It was made from 70% Gwerztraminer and 20% Pinot Gris, and 10% Muscat. If you like wine with bubbles, this is a good one. Reminded me of the kind of sparkling wine you would want for celebrations. We enjoyed many more wines here, and recommend it highly to anyone wine touring in the Okanagan region.
