点评:For me, the snow on the pines and the mountains makes this. But you do need to be prepared.
I was considering walking to Moskie Oko, but most of the way is along a road. I wanted something a bit more magical feeling in winter.
So I took the Strazyska Valley walk to a frozen waterfall via a Polana with mountain huts in a clearing. Plenty of people on this bit, but then I walked across to Polana Kalatowki and this bit was spectacular in winter. An absolute narnia-land of pines covered in heavy snow and views to mountain tops. Polana Kalatowki is a bigger, beautiful clearing with mountain views. I ended the walk at the Kasprowy Wierch cable car where there are buses back to Zakopane, but you can walk back into town too.
Loved the walk, with sections of real solitude and magic in winter once you are off the Strazyska Valley. Though you do need crampons on this route once you leave the Strazyska Valley - I was slipping and sliding all over without them.
