点评:If you travel by foot, make sure to use the OLD ferry terminal by the Old Town. Cars are taken across from the new terminal several km away, and it costs 23€, so I highly suggest to park the car at the old terminal and cross by passenger ferry. NB! It's paid parking by the terminal, which is unfortunately very unclear for foreign visitors, because all information (including parking violation tickets) is only in Lithuanian.
Once you cross the strait, a small train (3€ one way - have cash with you!) can take you to the museum, or you can choose to walk 1,8 km (20mins). When you arrive at the parking lot, notice that the big round building in front of you is NOT the Sea Museum, but the Delphinarium where dolphin/sea lion shows take place. The ticket office is across the parking lot, and museum entrance is through a red brick gate (the museum is built inside an old fortress).
If you want to avoid crowds, I suggest you go right at the opening at 10.30 am. There's a cafeteria inside the delphinarium, but it gets overcrowded at lunch and you may have to stand in line for 30mins, have to wait for food for another 30mins and have no place to sit, which was our case (we came in 1hr ahead of the dolphin show at 3pm).
Other than that, it was a lovely experience. I just wish someone had told me these few things before or the museum website in English had more detailed instructions.
