点评:Visited on Sunday morning, train journey from Krakow was cheap and painless, only around 20 minutes, station is the end of the line so can’t go wrong,
We were early, so enjoyed a walk around the park opposite, a lovely display of photos of Pope John Paul II, and a sculpture, then had coffee at the Salt Mine,
Our tour started at 11am, met our guide Tomasz inside after the ticket check, he was funny, knowledgeable and engaging, a perfect mix,
It really needs to be seen to appreciate it fully, we’ve seen the photos and videos, but being there is something else, Tomasz really did bring the place to life,
A brief stop at around half way for a quick drink/loo stop, there’s also a shop there, another bigger shop at the end of the tour and a bigger restaurant, one more shop at the top of the lift,
Once your tour has finished it’s around a 1km walk to the lift, and the queue soon builds up, but it is what it is,
We loved our tour, and would happily recommend to others.
