点评:We didn’t have the best start to our tour. Information posted on the front door said not to ring the bell and to wait on the porch for tours. It also said that they tried to do tours on the hour and half hour. We arrived around 11:15. Fine, we can wait on the porch until 11:30. We waited until 11:40 and finally gave up and left. We decided to give it another shot, and this time arrived at the 11:00 opening. About five minutes into our tour, a group of people waiting on the porch were invited to wait in the library instead of outside. We noticed that the next tour began promptly at 11:30. So we don’t know if they were short-staffed the previous day, or what? As for the tour itself, the guides were pretty friendly, especially the younger gentleman. The current owners of the home are antique dealers who have absolutely stuffed the house to the brim with furnishings. Some of the pieces were stunning. The architecture of the house is beautiful, and I do commend the owners for doing what they can to preserve a piece of history through whatever means necessary.
