Festive break. Still good. But not as good as it has been.

点评：Every year we come on the festive break. We have four children, our eldest is 9. Weve been coming since she was a toddler. And we always recommend it so highly to anyone. It's generally a great value package and we all really enjoy it.
This year however, we did come away feeling a little disappointed.
With the cost of everything going up, I was surprised when I booked this year not to see much of a price increase. However, when we arrived, we discovered half of the rides that are usually open on the festive break, weren't open. So it seemed cut backs were made here instead.
There were 7 rides open in total. And the aquarium. That was it.... The kids were really looking forward to the gangsta granny ride. And it was abit of a downer when we realised the whole David Walliams area was closed this year. I do hope it's something you'd reconsider for next year.
Usually, because it's low season, we manage to get on all the available rides and the queues are small.
But because only half the rides were on offer this year, the queue times were all alot higher than usual.
So we spent a lot of the day stood in queues, and didn't even get chance to go on everything.
We didn't let it ruin the fun. We still had a good day. But it did significantly impact the enjoyment of the day in comparison to previous years. I didn't feel like we'd actually done that much. When usually, we come back exhausted from a day of constant back to back rides.
We stayed in the cbeebies hotel. As always - we love it. The entertainment is great. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room (swashbuckle suite) was brilliant. The kids loved the room and were playing pirate ships on the bed. They're asking for the same room again next year.
Swimming is loud and chaotic! The kids absolutely love it though. They're always excited for it.
The panto was fantastic. Busier than previous years. But not too busy. There wasn't enough bean bags for all the kids. So get there in good time if you'd like a bean bag. Ours sat on our coats at the front. They were happy enough.
Overall. It hasnt put us off completely. The kids still had a good time.
I really do hope you'll consider opening up the David Walliams area again for next year 🤞🏼
