Barnegat Lighthouse State Park的点评
点评：Nice to visit all year long although very crowded in the summer and lots of traffic to experience before you get there. The parking lot is not that big so get there early in the summer months. The view is spectacular if you venture to take the steps up to the top of the lighthouse. If not, the ground view is still nice. We go here once or twice a year for birding. It is a birding hot spot in the winter because of all the sea ducks visiting. You can walk the rocky jetty or just along it on the beach to get to the end, which is kind of a long walk and would be difficult for those with ambulation issues. Many of the ducks are towards the end of it such as the beautiful Harlequin ducks who visit every winter. If you are lucky, seals are sunning on the rocks across the bay. Binoculars are very helpful to see them well.
In other months, picnic tables are available to eat and there are area restaurants although some are closed during the winter months. Please be mindful that NJ state parks are carry in and carry out to make them clean and enjoyable for all. Restrooms are also available.
