点评：A cornucopia of treasures - all cutting edge scientific innovation in their day. Saw some real delights and can look again as every object is available to view via the online catalogue. Tickets are very popular so sell out quickly, would really advocate for more frequent open days. Everyone will have their personal favourites and 'must sees', my eyes were 'on stalks' and my imagination was 'on fire' because I found the items so engaging. I don't know what a dentist's drill was doing in amongst the cars, I love ships in cases of which there are plenty. Surprising for objects with minimal context and seemingly no order, it is a very emotive space,
especially for some of the aeronautics enthusiasts. The aircraft are still off limits but there was a very noteworthy piece of aircraft history. For a short 90 minute tour, prepare to be humbled and very tired. On returning to the outside world, the park itself has far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. The runway is still there but the air traffic control tower has gone, maybe it will be rebuilt one day. Had a quick peek at the solar farm as well. The staff were very generous and a special thanks to those who helped with mobility assistance. An awesome day out.
