An amazing team for an incredible trek!

点评：Can’t praise Erik and the team enough! We just finished an amazing 5 day trip seeing the highlights of Huayhuash in the wet season. We were prepared for bad weather but were really lucky with only a little rain and hail!
We organised the logistics with Chris at Kame House Hostel and did the trek with Erik (Yaku Expiditions/Erik’s House). We were worried that it could be a third party situation but realised that Erik and Chris are in a partnership.
I have a long list of allergies and Chris was extremely attentive and provided me with suitable snacks and cutlery for the trip. He also communicated my allergies with the chef, Tito, so I had no worries about eating something I was allergic to while in the mountains. There was an emergency horse for the trip too, so it was reassuring knowing I could get to help quickly if I needed to.
Erik was great at guiding us and educating us on Huayhuash and Peru, as well as being quick to spot signs of altitude sickness in the group. His son joined the group too which was really nice. Tito’s food was delicious every day and Ruben and Jeferson the donkey/horse drivers were great at setting up camp for us each night, and providing an emergency horse when it was needed.
Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend doing a trek with Erik and his team!
