点评:They call it the Cathedral of College Football, and few stadiums are as historic. You can't miss the large grey concrete building on campus, either. If you grew up a Notre Dame fan like I did, visiting here is a near-religious experience and filled with traditions. There are 5 entry gates, each named after famous coaches with statues outside.
The day prior to a football game, they allow visitors to enter via the Rockne gate and go through the tunnel and onto a corner of the field. There is a $10 admission for this, and it can only be purchased on their proprietary app (which is really annoying). Still, it's a great experience to walk through the tunnel with banners from all past national championships. Other than this, I don't think they offer tours.
If you are fortunate enough to have a ticket to a game, it's a great experience. The seats all provide great views of the field, and although they have new technology like big Jumbotrons, the layout hasn't changed much over the years and feels quite intimate. The staff controls the crowds really well, making it easy for entering and leaving.
