TRIAL GARDENS IN FULL BLOOM IN LATE JULY

点评：Entering Prescott Park from Mechanic Street, I came to the area where all the main flower beds were in the Trial Gardens. They were a spectacular sight. There were hundreds and hundreds of gorgeous summer flowers at the height of their bloom on this late June day.
There were many other people walking around admiring the flowers and greenery filler in the gardens. One couple I spoke with were getting ideas for their own summer garden.
I thought that gardeners had outdone themselves this year with the number and variety of blooming and non-blooming plants.
In the area of the Black-Eyed Susans, there was a sign stating that the seed heads were purposely left for the birds to feed on during the winter.
The gardens held different varieties of dahlias, zinnias, salvia, and other lovely, colorful flowers ~ some of whose names I wasn’t quite sure of. Some may have been experimental hybrids.
I was surprised that I didn’t encounter so much as one butterfly during this visit. I usually see and get to photograph at least one, if not two.
Visiting the gardens at Prescott Park is always a delight. The flowers are always just so gorgeous in the spring, summer, and fall.
I rate my experience at this year’s summer Trial Gardens at 5.0 and highly recommend a visit to all the sections of Prescott Park ~ from the North Pier area near the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Bridge to the Trial Gardens near Mechanic Street.
The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews and some health issues.
