Interesting Little Park…
Beech Bend Park & Splash Lagoon的点评
点评：My visit was back in July 2020, the dropdown doesn’t go back that far. Beech Bend has free parking & now free sunscreen (I don’t recall them offering free sunscreen when I was there). Things may’ve changed since my visit as it was during Covid restrictions so I’m basing my review on my experience then.
The park is near Bowling Green & close to town but in the middle of what looks like a field so it’s a unique location & has an old fashioned county fair feel to it. They have a dirt race track that holds races every weekend I believe but I went during the week so no races for me that visit. The rides are basic carnival flat rides, including Michael Jackson’s swinging ship ride which came from Neverland Ranch & they play Michael’s music at the ride station too so that was great! The gift shop in the rear of the park was extremely lacking in souvenirs & I didn’t see any food available so that was disappointing but that may’ve been due to Covid reasons. Except for the employees at the entrance & front gift shop, the staff there were not very friendly and didn’t seem to care to be there IMO but again, it may’ve been due to Covid concerns.
I was not allowed to choose my seat on Kentucky Rumbler, I was forced to sit in the back, I don’t normally like the back & the coaster basically beat me up & gave me back spasms, it was pretty rough IMO. The haunted house dark ride was pretty fun as was the other flat rides. They do have a water park side but I didn’t visit it on that day.
I’m definitely interested in visiting the park again, I think visiting during Covid times was inhibiting my visit so I’m not discouraged about feeling underwhelmed about my visit as I understand that precautions were put in place & I was lucky to have been able to visit.
