点评:This museum would garner 5 stars for its breadth, its detail and its setting were it not for several glaring problems. One, the museum is spread over what I counted to be 5 locations (including the docked steel ship) the major parts of which are separated from each other by the Motlawa river and a very long amble (the ferry no longer operates). Two, the exhibits on the Crane side of the river are accompanied by helpful English language displays while those on the Granaries side have almost none. This might be understandable for a more modest museum buried in the heartland but this is an outward looking, ambitious, centrally located and regionally themed museum designed to attract a multi-national audience. Three, there was no audio guide, or if there was it was either not offered or hidden away. Given the nature and extent of the displays in the Granaries, an audio guide would have greatly enhanced the experience. Finally, there appeared to be no option to purchase a ticket for only one of the displays (the Crane for example which was slick, interactive and very interesting); instead, one is obliged to begin the tour at the mundane Cultural Centre which at best is a poor introduction to what is really an enchanting museum and a breathtaking collection.
