点评：I visited Ballarat Wildlife Park whilst on a cruise which docked for a day in Melbourne, I took the tram from the entrance to the cruise terminal to Southern Cross station and then caught the train to Ballarat station. Then caught the number 20 bus from the bus station behind the railway station which drops you off outside the park entrance. You catch the bus back to the station from the same stop as it goes round in a loop. I bought a ticket ($31AUS for a senior) to go in and also paid $4 AUS for food for the kangaroos which was well worth it. They were waiting just past the entrance gate! Kangaroos were everywhere and it is a joy to feed them as you feel like your palm is being kissed. They also have meerkats, a reptile house, tortoises, wombats dingoes, birds, tiger, penguins (you can see them being fed), alpacas, tree kangaroos, Tasmanian Devils and of course lots of koalas. You can have your photo taken with a koala for an extra fee. Whilst not the largest wildlife park, it is a friendly place for all ages. Also it is doable from the cruise ship yourself with an early start as the train takes approximately 1.5 hours and the bus 20 minutes. Ballarat town centre is also worth a look if you have time. Great value for money and worth using a MYki card for the fares. You can get one from the machine at the tram stop at the end of the cruise terminal entrance.
