点评:This place felt like more of a bird sanctuary rather than a botanical garden. I guess it’s technically supposed to be both, but mostly just saw a bunch of different types of birds. We went on a Thursday in July- pretty busy and extremely HOT. There is some shade, but not enough for hot July. These birds are stinky too. The highlight of my trip was getting to feed the flamingos. When you purchase your tickets at the desk they ask if you want to pay an extra $1 for flamingo food- yes, you DO want to do that- it was the best thing I did there. I just put some food in my palm and held my hand flat- they gently nibbled it right out of my palm. Nope, didn’t hurt at all and got some cute pictures and videos of it. Check that one off the old bucket list: hand fed a flamingo.. Check! Also, I was hangry so we decided to grab a soft pretzel from their little cafe there. Mistake. I think they meant to call it “3 day old, hard as a rock, inedible pretzel”. So I don’t recommend eating there. Overall, It is a bit of an overpriced attraction- we would’ve probably had a better time if it was cooler.
