点评：We stayed at Africa Eco Expeditions for two days, arranged by our tour operator, and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip. From start to finish, the experience felt intimate, personal, and completely curated to what we were looking for. It was the absolute highlight of our Africa trip.
The camp owner, Shannon, arranged to be there during our stay, and we quickly realized they also organize full safari itineraries. We wish we’d known earlier, as we would have gladly spent our entire trip with them instead of moving from place to place.
We saw more animals here than anywhere else on our safari, and one of our most memorable moments was asking Shannon to join us on a game drive. Her in-depth knowledge of the local prides of lions, the land, and the wildlife brought everything to life and gave us an intimate knowledge of the area and animals there that we didn't get anywhere else. We were watching prides of lions, elephants and giraffes with no one else around.
Shannon only hires local staff, and they were absolutely lovely, warm, welcoming, and full of heart. She even surprised us with a private sundowner setup on a ridge away from camp after learning how much I love sunrises and sunsets. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from that spot was nothing short of magical.
The chef prepared incredible meals, thoughtfully catered to our food preferences, and every meal felt like a treat. When we left, my younger son said, “I wish we could have stayed here for the whole trip”. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
