点评:Be prepared, there are as many dogs as there are people. Be careful and look where you walk as dog poop abounds. I don’t mind dogs being present, but people have to respect others and pick up after them, as many signs requested this common courtesy. That being said, I was disappointed in the walking trails around the island. What we found is you’re walking on what they call “trail heads” and there is a path through basically 8 ft. + tall brush on either side and you can’t see a thing. We finally gave up and turned around and left. Every so often there was a space that people have obviously climbed down the treacherous path, despite signs to the contrary, but we were not at all comfortable doing that. The lighthouse climb was not open while we were there but the history inside was interesting. Around the lighthouse area itself, there are lovely views with multiple signs saying to stay off the rocks. Many people ignored them and climbed onto the rocks anyway and nobody stopped them while we were there. Many brought chairs to picnic and enjoy the view on some of the grassy areas, but once again, be careful you don’t set up your chair by or on dog poop.
