Vilnius Old Town Tour with Goda
维尔纽斯老城的点评
点评：Goda was our guide for the 3hrs guided tour in Vilnius and she was simply amazing for her level of knowledge and communication skills. Within the limited time we had, she was very organized in taking us through various parts of old town and showing us all important attractions.
She was in the hotel well before the tour starting time. We started the tour from the famous Gates of Dawn with a miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary. We went past many churches and Castle ruins along the cobbled streets in Old Town and crossed Vilnia river to reach artistic Uzupis district or the Republic of Uzupis. From there we strolled along the picturesque Street of Literature - an open-air gallery of artistic expression to St. Anne’s Church on the banks of Vilnia river. Our tour finished at Cathedral Square, in front of the iconic Gediminas Monument. Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania is adjacent and Gediminas Tower is also walking distance from here.
Over the course of this 3-hour tour, we gained a comprehensive historical overview of Vilnius, key features that define the Old Town and a local perspective on daily life in Vilnius.
Goda was so nice, accommodating, willing to answer any questions and I don’t think we could have asked anything more from a tour guide. She is very proficient in English. Besides, she has widely travelled and has rich experiences as a guide and traveler as well.
It was a real pleasure and comfort to walk with Goda and the whole group enjoyed the time we spent with her. We would be much happy to recommend her to anyone.
