Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing的点评
点评:I went expecting only to enjoy the classic car section - not a fan of drag racing, anything beyond a quarter mile in a stock car isn't really for me. That said, I developed an appreciation for Garlits as a person, and concluded he is probably an estimable guy. I even enjoyed spending time in the drag racing building and learned some things. Fell down a little on the auto museum side. Some of the signage and estimations of values are just off. Worse, may of the vehicles are crammed in and rather needlessly roped off. If a place like the Martin Auto Museum in PHX can display cars more openly - and admittedly very unusually even let you sit in some, obsessive ropes around 30's flathead Fords - that's a bit much. The personal connections and stories are appreciated, but this is very much a personal collection vs. a collector car museum. If you approach knowing this however, the combination does provide a worthwhile experience. At $22 not cheap, though the senior discount starts at 60 which is 5 years nicer than most!
