点评：I attended IW Tennis Tournament for 3 consecutive days - final day qualifying and both days of round one. A truly great tennis experience.
I had ground passes for all days but for my last day I traded up for a ticket to court 1. The box office were really helpful and took off the amount I had already paid for the ground pass.
To get maximum value I recommend getting to venue about 9.00 a.m. Queue was small then and they let people in at 9.45. In the queue I researched who was playing on which practice court and then when I got in went straight there and got an excellent seat to watch an hour of top pro tennis hitting. Then I headed to the match I wanted to see in enough time.
Food is expensive $20-30ish but I thought quality was good. Beer was a mad price compared to UK where I am from $16 a can but it still was worth it for a truly great pleasure to watch great tennis while sipping beer in the sun. Plenty of places to refill water. Considering the affordability of ground passes and what that gives you access to then on the round I think the higher prices for other stuff is fine and the whole experience is great value.
You strictly aren't allowed to bring in food to the venue but plenty of people seemed to be smuggling in snacks of some sort (nuts, fruit) which I think is good to do as you can keep yourself fuelled and then manage when you might want to eat when it suits you.
It is busy but the days I went not crazy busy. If you plan what you want to see using available apps you can get so much out of the experience. Re-entry wrist bands are easily acquired. It did get cold in the evening so if you are planning on staying late bring layers. You could pack food or more clothes in your car and go out and back in again if you wanted to max out value.
I came out from UK to see an old friend in San Francisco but timed it so I could visit IW Tennis Tournament and I cannot recommend this highly enough if you are a tennis fan. The experience may be different on later days in the tournament i.e. how busy it gets and which tennis pros you might be able to see. I hope to get there again some day.
