点评：I recently stayed at Hotel Riu Baobab in Pointe-Sarène from November 22 to 29, and one of the highlights of my trip was booking with Malick Travel Senegal. I first heard about Malick through someone else’s TripAdvisor review and contacted him via WhatsApp (+221 77 365 17 16). We met on the beach on the 24th and had a fantastic first impression.
Malick welcomed us with tea and took the time to understand exactly what we wanted to do. His prices were very reasonable, and we agreed to spend Monday to Wednesday together. I cannot praise him enough for how accommodating and professional he was throughout.
Day 1: Bandia Reserve Adventure
Malick picked us up at the hotel entrance in a 4x4 pick-up truck, and we headed to the Bandia Reserve. The journey itself was an adventure, as we stopped in villages along the way, soaking in the local sights. Inside the reserve, we had a private guide and got up close with giraffes, rhinos, zebras, monkeys, crocodiles, and more. It was an incredible day for wildlife lovers!
Day 2: Authentic Village Experience
The second day was all about experiencing Senegalese culture firsthand. Malick took us to a nearby village, where we visited shops, his home, and met the fishermen. It was an authentic, heartwarming experience that gave us a deep appreciation for how he and his community live.
Day 3: Saloum Delta Mangroves
Our final day was spent exploring the stunning Saloum Delta mangroves. On the way, we saw the largest baobab tree, drank fresh coconut juice, and visited a local island village. The local guide shared fascinating historical insights, and we saw pelicans and other wildlife. It was a relaxing and enriching end to our trip.
