点评:My mother, (born in Ballymena, N. Ireland loved President Kennedy. I remember watching him on the news, getting out of a helicopter in the field behind the family farm, and running up to the courtyard to have tea with his cousin Mary. When we arrived at the Homestead, (August, 2010), we found ourselves with the most lovely lady who invited us to have a look around. I told her that my mother and I watched President Kennedy land in the field behind the house to have tea with his cousin Mary in the Courtyard, and how excited my mother would be to know that I was there!
She then asked me if my friend and I would like to have tea in the courtyard. I have to say, that this trip was a very emotional one for me as this was my first trip to Ireland since we immigrated to Canada in 1957. They lady came to our table with a tray of tea, served in china teacups, along with a plate of biscuits. This was a highlight of my trip! The JFK Memorial Park is not far from there.
