A good golf course that doesn't break the bank

点评：I wanted to play golf while we were in Hawaii. There were only two places where we were in port for two days; Maui and Kauai. The schedule worked out such that Maui was the better option. After looking at some of the more expensive options (and passing) I decided to play here. The price was much more reasonable, and it was very close to the cruise port. A very nice course, with challenging holes, requiring a little thought as to what you should hit off the tee. The sand traps were not like anything I’ve played before and, thankfully, I only had to play (badly) out of one of them. Playing a strange course, with rental clubs, does not typically lead to a good score but, it was very scenic and uncrowded. Recommended
Restaurant at the golf course: after a round that took a bit out of me, both physically and mentally, I was ready for a drink and some food. The clubhouse had a restaurant called Fuego. Think meat with an Argentinian flair and you’re close. What was really surprising was the wine list….very deep with some great bottles. However, I wasn’t there for expensive wine…just a burger and a beer, both of which were very good. My wife met me after the round and had a glass of Argentinian white wine with her caesar salad, both of which were also quite good. Great service, good food, and friendly staff. Recommended.
