Snorkelling the GBR with Wavelength is a must

点评：What a great time out on the Great Barrier Reef, thanks to the amazing crew at Wavelength. Safety first (pragmatic and clear, so that everyone could understand) was top of mind always but never took away from the overall experience. The trip was run logically, methodically and with constant smiles, chats and laughs. The crew are so well informed and passionate about their subject matter (the GBR) that you really are taken along on that journey and come away feeling a part of it all. We were a party of two adults with a soon to be 16yo daughter and a 10yo son and we all loved it. We’re all very comfortable snorkelling and it was great to have equipment from Wavelength that fitted well and therefore worked well - it really makes all the difference to the experience. Lots of fresh water on offer, along with tea/coffee when the boat was not moving, and soft drinks for purchasing via an ‘honesty system’ which I really love to see. Lunch rolls were excellent too so we were all well looked after from a F&B perspective. And then there is the GBR itself - WOW. So good and so much to see across the three different sites you visit on this particular trip. You get lots of time in the water (~1hr at each site) because it’s snorkelling only, unlike if you join a scuba/snorkelling combined trip where the snorkelers only get as much time as the scuba divers are down and sometimes this means very rushed time for the snorkelers. Honestly this team is amazing and you should give them a try, especially since they’re the only remaining family run business out there and are staffed by marine biologists.
