Great museum for Lakota history

点评：If you truly want to learn about the Lakota people, this is the best museum we have seen so far in South Dakota. It is not in a central location, but it is free and very well documented and laid out. This is a "serious" museum, not something loosely thrown together. It can be seen quickly if you wish, but they have a lot of artifacts and also some great interactive Lakota games in the section discussing childhood.
Their gift store was also great if you are looking for affordable memorabilia. The bookstore section seemed particularly good. I didn't have time to look at their entire selection in detail but it was nice to have texts selected so you could do reading after visiting here.
I did not enjoy the St Joseph's part of the museum just because it has a complicated history, but it is also well-done and has a good deal of information.
