点评:This is our first time visiting Stratford Hall. We were surprised at the beautiful well-kept property It was very spread out and beautifully manicured, friendly staff, full of detailed historical information. It was also not crowded which is always a plus! The Great House was set up nicely, each room filled with furniture and items from the time period when Robert E. Lee lived there as a young boy. During the 4th of July celebration that we attended today, they had our activities for the kids as well as a small three piece musical ensemble playing music and dressed in colonial garb of that era.
Beautiful gardens, nice gift shop and informative visitor center. There are several cabins there that you can rent to stay in and if you drive down toward the cliffs and the gristmill you can go down to a small beach and find a shark's tooth! A real hidden gem!
