匹兹堡学习大教堂的点评
点评：We were traveling through the city and spent the night. A friend suggests we see this so we made an impromptu stop. I’m so glad we did. The architecture of the building was amazing. Simply beautiful and something I really wouldn’t have expected here. I later learned it was a part of the Univ of Pittsburgh campus. There were tours offered but they were full the day we went. However they also allow people to just wander the building and do a self tour. On the third floor there are different rooms designed to highlight various cultures around the world. Since it was summer these were closed unless you were on the official tour. We still got to peek into a couple rooms. After wandering we went to the top of the building to check the views of the city. The top floor isn’t very big so there’s not a lot of room to wander, just enough to take in the sights. Overall it was a great stop and one where I learned a lot. The building is amazing, something right out of Harry Potter, so for all those interested in architecture or who love history or just want something to do other than the normal sightseeing I recommend it. It’s totally free, parking was on the street and cheap. Go see it and be amazed as I was.
