Watermouth Castle的点评
点评：We really like Watermouth Castle. It’s quirky, delightfully odd, and full of magic. We’ve never been anywhere quite like it, and that’s exactly what makes it so special. Rather than trying to be modern or polished, it embraces its age, character, and eccentricity.
We stayed in the South Court apartment within the castle and couldn’t have been happier with it. It was spacious, airy, and had a lovely outdoor seating area where we could relax in the sunshine. It felt peaceful while still being right in the heart of everything.
We decided to order some of the apartment extras, including the Hearty Breakfast, the Continental Breakfast, and the Countryman’s Picnic for lunch. Everything was excellent—generous portions, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, local produce. It was such a lovely touch and made our stay even more enjoyable.
We have teenagers who can be difficult to impress, but they genuinely loved the apartment and made great use of the swimming pool. As a family, we really enjoyed exploring the park and gardens. We appreciate places with history and character, and Watermouth Castle has both in abundance. The quirky features dotted around the grounds made us smile, the crazy golf was great fun, and the kids especially loved the toboggan run.
One of our favourite parts was the collection of old arcade machines. Playing classic games for just 2p and 10p was such a nostalgic experience and something you rarely find these days.
